I like to be a bit different.

So most people do things even if they don't like it, just so they can fit in, and i'm telling you now, DON'T, there is absolutely no point in being who you don't want to be.I wasted years of my life doing things to fit in, and I didn't do all that well. I ended up being really quiet because I thoguht people would judge me on what I said or how I said it. I also went through a stage where I wore too much make-up because everyone else was wearing it, looking back I looked like a freak.
All of that just made a few years go slowly, but recently I have come out of my shell and I'm finally being who I want to be and loving life. I have a big group of friends and I actually talk with everyone, I hate being quiet because then I miss saying things and regret it. About a year ago, I made all these changes and ever since I have felt so much more comfortable. I used to look at pictures of short hairstyles and think it looked amazing, but was always too scared of trying it, in case I didn't like it and yet again I might be judged. So a few months ago I flicked through a magazine and saw a short style I really liked and I just went for it, my best friend told me it was a big step and I may not suit it, but I didn't care I just got it cut and ended up loving it. I realised that trusting my own instincts is important sometimes. So now when everyone else has long hair I have short, when everyone else wears their make-up heavy, a light big of eye liner on the top, mascara and a tiny bit of foundation is all I need. When everyone else is paranoid about going out without make-up I sometimes wear none and still feel happy.
And when everyone else take the simple option in like, I take the option that is best meant for me, no matter how difficult it can be.
